Athens is synonymous with music in East Texas.
From the early days of The Old Fiddler's Reunion, there has always been a song in the air of this East Texas Town where young people grew up listening to Bluegrass, Country, and Gospel Music played locally on the town square courthouse each year in May. Tradition of The Old Fiddlers still lives on.
Texas Gospel Music Hall primary function in Athens is to offer East Texas the greatest groups in Gospel music. Inviting Nationally Known Southern Gospel & Bluegrass Gospel Recording Artist. Families can come together enjoy inspirational songs that boost their moral and gives encouragement.
Anytime there is a concert at the Music Hall, expect to here quality Gospel Groups and plenty of laughter! Come often you will understand what TGM is all about.

The Music Hall is a place that you can come each month and enjoy hearing your favorite Nationally Known Recording Artists. Music Hall seats close to 500 in comfortable cushioned chairs, air/heat, wheel chair accessable, covered drive through, snack bar, no smoking facility and plenty of parking. No alcohol or drugs allowed!
Directions: Loop 7, take the South Palestine St. (Highway 19 South) exit. Music Hall is located three-tenths of a mile past the Loop, drive until you see Fulton Auto Service on the left, then take the second drive beside shop. The Music Hall is behind Fulton Auto Service Building.
